I was wondering if you would want to put 160mm forks on the 180mm travel Santa Cruz 'Bullit'?

Would this seriously ruin the handling or is it a case of personal choice?

no I'd sell it, don't like bullits!

160mm forks with a long enough axle to crown would work just fine on one though

GW,

fair play! Do you mind if I ask why the dislike of said 'bullit'?

Wondered what the handling would be like with 180mm at rear and 160mm at front?

Don't really like single pivots and even if I did bullits have ropey geometry (for me) - too high, short and steep for the amount of travel.

I have run my 2005 Bullit with forks ranging from 160mm - 200mm (RS Lyrik 160mm, Marzocchi 66 170mm, Marzocchi 888 200mm). It works brilliantly with them all. Obviously the handling is a little quicker with the shorter forks, but it doesn't seem to be a problem to me. Dunno if the newer Bullits have different angles though.

I ran my bullit with 150mm zocchi's and 160mm fox and it was great with either! Fantastic bike 🙂
