Maybe a daft question but my mate has a frame which takes a 200 x 51 shock.
I have a 200 x 57 shock which I took of my Bronson a while ago, would this fit his frame, presume the mounting kit might be different?
It'll fit (with the correct mounting kit) but there may be frame/tyre clearance issues under full compression.
Try letting all the air out his current shock and compressing it fully, if it's pretty tight then no chance, if a decent bit of clearance then maybe but it'll still be sick it and see. I'm stalking you Phil 😈
It'll increase the travel by between 12 and 20mm - there probably won't be space for the suspension to move that far without things colliding and breaking.
Ah crap, thanks guys. He will have to keep a look out for a 200 x 51 then.
