I have the frame and forks (separately) and am throwing around the idea of a mongrel build with a 700c alfine wheelset as a commuter. Would this throw the steering geometry way off? I'm going to go do some measuring.
edit: this would make it like a Day One right?
It is rated up to 120mm forks (which I have on mine) so you should be fine
It will help drop the BB again after putting 700C on and the HA won't get too silly for a 700C bike, it'll be within CX-road bike geometry range. SA may get a bit steep though. Try it..
(assuming the CX forks are ~400mm that is)
Cx fork not that long, 400mm?
400mm a2c on fork, hadn't thought about SA, just steering geo. Ordered the wheel so project is go. This should be interesting.
So what happened then?
