You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Well, I couldn't see one ...
Dropped my bike off at the Bird factory in Consett yesterday for fork/shock/bearings service, and took my HT out to do the STW Classic Ride #122 whilst the work was being done.
Enjoyed the ride, although not the 5.6km road climb into a headwind 3/4 of the way through (might have been over-tyred with 2.5/2.6 and a MaxxGrip on the front!)
Great 'out there' feeling, and some fun bits of trail ...
Sorting out day for us ready for Peatys Bike Bonanza tomorrow.
Should be a good day out
My sciatica kicked in yesterday, so no riding today. Fingers crossed for tomorrow!
Why do I always read the title of these as With Reference P To?
Don't have time to ride so just took this snap out of the window to see what I'm missing.

Shanks' pony for a change yesterday.
My weekend started yesterday with a ride with Mrsstu.
Looked like this from half way up the hill so didn't bother with any more.

Group ride today and I don't want to be "that person" that's always fannying around and slowing things down so no pics from today.

The grey skies have matched my mood especially re politics. Headed north yesterday over roughly the Yorkshire Wolds. There are some totally deserted singletrack roads which often turn to gravel as they become bridleways. At times not a soul about
First proper ride for 4 weeks. Felt good to get out there. Great conditions apart from the grey gloom.

Found a totally new (to us) trail network, close to an area that we’ve been to often. And also bumped into the builder, who spent the next 2 hours showing us around. Superb day on the bikes! (Not many photos though - sorry).

Ooh, maybe I can post from my phone... Walking today, riding tomorrow.
Edit Yes I can! stops @alex posting mine as his 😉
Cool weather but amazingly dry trails today, well mostly:

I'm going to suffer later, but my leg was able to swing over the saddle today, so went for an xc blast. Just at that level of cold where a jacket is optional. Loads of riders out, which was great to see!

been unwell with a chest infection so not ridden in over a week. Went out for a 30 mile jaunt to brush the cobwebs off.
4 day recovery according to garmin lol

Did plan on riding the golfie this morning but it was wall to wall park like a **** day so went to inners instead.
Much more pleasant . Apart from one run down Cresta it felt like we had the place to ourselves.
Even saw the sun at one point.

Still no riding for me but I can wait.

Nice and dry out there.
Friday Purbecks.

Puddletown this morning.

Too knackered to ride far after yesterdays longer (for me) ride. But shockingly, the sun came out, so I couldnt resist at least a short run out.

No pics, but after a weekend of family duties and suchlike, I had to get out in he sunshine this afternoon. Lovely solo golden hour rip around local Sherrifmuir and Allenwater trails....
Was going to be a long ride today, but Fridays double vaccination hangover reduced enthusiasm. Over stoodley, manshead and Norland moor where the sun almost came out! Some lovely riding through piles of golden leaves, muddy and dry moorland, and fog, lots of it.

No photos from Peatys Bike Bonanza as we didn't get a minute. Place was heaving from opening till just before it closed. Don't think I've ever seen it so busy
Sold far more than we expected and didn't get time to wander round to get any bargains so saved a bit.
Aberfoyle aint just for gravel.

Dusted off the XC bike for a tootle around Swinley today.
Saddle too low after recent saddle replacement faffage, and my multitool had no torx keys on it (it had in my imagination..), rear tyre leaking slowly at the bead with a puncture that wouldn't seal, grey and over cast.
It was great 🙂
@jimmy748 What's Puddletown like these days ? Easy to navigate? Enough Singletrack to warrant an hour's drive each way or more jumpy jumpy ?
No piccies, but a nice go at Heartbreak Ridge in Ballater and then a loop from Craigellachie to Dufftown then over a few steep hills to Aberlour and back up to Craigellachie. Neither epic in length or scale but nice bimbles before a week away with work (which I'm really not looking forward to).
Mizzly start but the trails were mint. Woods bone dry and carpeted in autumnal goodness!
@singlespeedstu I was at the Golfie on Friday afternoon and it was pretty busy. I think it's because Flat White has been reopened.
Lots of lovely pics this week. Round Whaley Bridge/Chinley/Hayfield and finally a few beers in New Mills for me

Its been the a lot busier every day since it re opened.
Don't really see the attraction myself .
It'll be back to normal soon enough.

Gravelly pootle down the Five Weirs Walk, through Rovrum and back along the TPT to Doncaster.
Just a quick local hour today on the SS Gravel Bike (NBD last week!). Really really like this bike ...
Another grey day, but still strong autumn colours.
Came as a bit of a shock after our trip to the dry dusty trails of Bentonville...

Three days in a row. Grey skies but hot AF.
Saturday morning a sweaty slog around the trail centre. Nearly ran over a snake 200m in.

Sunday was a short breakfast and gravel ride with the older lad.

Monday morning had a couple of hours mixed gravel, singletrack and road ride before breakfast with an appropriate Remembrance track included.

Went for a head clearer at Bowhill. Rode illuminati quite well. On the way back round there's a wooden bridge that I hit at speed. This is my heart rate while I thought I'd broken my leg.

@trusty - you put them in the WhatsApp group, they're fair game 🙂
Same location. Top of the Buckstone 3/4 way of a big day in the Yat. Amazing conditions until occasionally they weren't. Lots of trail divination required due to 100% leaf cover. Looked like rain was coming in in this pic, but never happened. Only place we saw any wet was in the pub afterwards:)

Another dry weekend - I'll take that this far into November!

Rounded my weekend off with a golfie ride this morning.
Blinding strobe effect in the trees on some of the trails but another 1000 Meters of ascent going towards my 200,000 yearly target.
No bike washing again. Unbelievable for November.

Drifting into the midweek ride picture thread now ... but the sun's out in Leeds today (and the sky is as blue as my bike) so got out for an hour at lunchtime ...
Blue skies but lots of mud!

@oldfart pretty good, same as it’s ever been really, fair bit of new jumpy lines, but all the original stuff is still there.

Cheers so easy to just follow your nose?
Pretty much, head uphill on fire roads and the start of most trails are fairly obvious.

Chamo edition.
