Spending a week here ,can some kind soul point me in the direction of some routes please.
Charlie The Bikemonger is your man for routes , highlights Franks Tank , Old Harry's , Kimmeridge , Nine Barrow , don't miss the Square and Compass in Worth , great cider made on the premises as are the pies and pasties 😊
All I know is the gravel dash. I think it's discretely signed now too. Must be a gpx online somewhere.
Nevermind that, get drinking in the Square and Compass - best pub in world!
Do you climb? If so, Conner Cove for the deep water solos. Best done immediately after a sesh at the S&C..
Singletrack did a route in the Purbecks only a month ago. There is also a bigger route that goes through Worth in the archives. I've attached the pdf but have no idea if this will work. The Priest Way going East from Worth towards Swanage might be a good link up.
Zippy: I've emailed the big route to you via address in your contact
Received thank you.
Definitely worth popping in to see Charlie the Bikemonger at his emporium in Swanage; they can point you in the direction of all the riding around there. From where you'll be you're at the end of the Priest's Way track which takes you into Swanage.
ah my old stomping ground. The posts here have it covered. The Scott Arms in Kingston has some lovely views over to the castle too. Don't forget the new inn in Church Knowle either. Hic!
At this time of year is the coast path going to be fair game? Is it even worth riding?
I had no issues in Cornwall last year.
Hi OP, I asked a friend for you , and I quote...
"<span data-ft="{"tn":"K"}"><span class="UFICommentBody">The coastal path is muddy as hell. Walking would be hard even! We rode some of it last weekend and it was atritional!"</span></span>
So perhaps not.
His strava profile is here if you want inspiration, he's a #toplad

Great routes from Worth Matravers I have used a Cycle cross bike a lot around there from Windspit can ride the coast path back to the light house etc quite a lot of the CP around there is carrying the bike up a lot of steps Chapmans pool over to Houns trout etc if your on a MTB bike then ride on the top of the Purbecks as said above down to OLD Harrys normal OS map you see all the Bridleways on there seems to be much windier around there these days than years back suppose that's the same most places these days.
One last question ..how muddy is the STW route at the moment?
You haven't thanked me for help with the other two yet . I'm out .... 😀
The flowers haven't arrived yet?
IME of the coastal path its a lot of carry up stairs and rattling teeth breaking down stairs ... best walked imho (there have been sections innthenpast which have slipped away 🙁 )
Have a look at routes section of this site. As above Square and Compass, Studland, Old Harry, Dunes, a trip out to Portland Bill ideally at a wind against tide time
