Works components narrow wide chain rings...
Are they as good as any other? They look the business. But considerably cheaper.

Any feedback?

I've used a few of their oval ones and was very pleased with them, now have a round Unite ring which I think looks much better and functions just the same.

I found them to be the longest lasting (non-steel) and most reliable of the NW rings I’ve tried. Superstar, absolute black, race face, unite uberbike (I think) for points of comparison. Assuming you’re only up to 11s- they don’t play happily with eagle chains.

Of that lot race face were probably second. Absolute black I could be dropping chains in august from a chainring put on fresh in march.

Interesting experience with Absolute Black Swanny, I've had one for over five years and dropped a chain once

Can't comment on their chainrings but their Anglesets are top quality & a lot cheaper than other makes. Spares backup is also great IME.

+1

Stock was patchy for a while. Maybe fine now?

To qualify that absolute black comment- I was doing a *lot* of mileage those years, and the chain throwing was in a race (which is how I can date it, two Brighton Big Dogs on the trot I threw the chain multiple times). I did then use the chainrings for longer and they were fine for the most part but I’ve not seen that happen with other chainrings in subsequent years, or even much older ones. All chainrings drop chains occasionally but the AB just seemed more susceptible to it with wear.

Have previously used their oval NW rings on two bikes without any problems and if I didn't have a Gaburuk would be using again.

IME they last really well, and they're well priced too now. Plus for me they get bonus marks for being the first to actually commit and sell a 3rd party ring while everyone else was waiting to see if they'd get sued by SRAM.

AB early ones were shit, they've improved the design a little since but they're still not especially good (basically they copied someone else's but didn't quite understand it and made it worse, while adding compatibility issues).
