Just noticed the bottom race isn't sitting quite flush on the bottom cup...out by a mm or two (so there appears to be a gap where the rubber seal should sit).

Tried fixing it but when I get the bottom to sit flush...the top gets all buggered up!

There's no play when the bottom is out by that mm or two...but when I do get it flush on the bottom the top has a massive gap and it does have play.

Anyone experienced anything similar?

Cheers

Might be a daft question but you did get the correct set for the length of your head tube didn't you?

I've fitted three of them and can't remember any of the being like that.

Got the correct length...but now concerned I got the wrong one?!

My headtube is ZS44/ZS56 but bought the EC44/ZS56 (as I couldn't find this exact combo and thought the external top cup was needed).

Have written to Works for some help.

Mine was like that originally when I installed it. I tightened up the top cap really tight and that seemed to pull it all together until they were all flush. I then slackened it all off back to normal at it stayed in the right place.

I to was worried about having bought the wrong one at first.

Been running fine now
