Hi, I'm looking to get a lightweight (Breathable!) waterproofish jacket - anyone got any recommendations? Thanks!

I should probably have expanded a bit ...
Basically I'm off to the Alps at the end of August for DH/Mtb so looking for something suitable for that which I can then utilise riding back here too - generally "enduro type" riding, or as the OH says pedalling up to ride down!
Currently have the Madison Leia which is fine for autumn/winter but far too much of a "boil in the bag" for now!
Cheers!

Does such a garment actually exist? Won't all waterproof jackets be too hot in the summer?

I use an "enduro" jersey all year round, varying the base layers according to the season. And carry an ultra-lightweight pertex jacket (eg Vaude Air) for extra warmth if required. It's windproof and showerproof, although not waterproof.

Good luck with your search!

Maybe a windshirt instead of a full on waterproof. Even when wet they keep the wind out which keeps you from getting cold and they dry pretty quick as well. They are very lightweight and more breathable as well.

Thanks both! 🙂

I know it was wishful thinking - I was just had a tiny bit of hope haha.
Something showerproof would be more than adequate. Mostly after something to keep the wind and chill out to be honest!
