I’ve met Christina a few times and this is quite shocking. I hope she can recover ok from this and they catch the bastard responsible.

I'm well pissed off about this - I share an office with Christina at work, so it's hitting hard.

Absolute bastard whoever left her lying there but given it was 5pm on a weekday I fully expect there'll be witnesses, or at least traffic cameras somewhere that will show the car/trailer combo.

More info coming out but driver not yet traced.

"The 45-year-old, who moved to Stirling from Stornoway in 2016, is understood to have been approaching the roundabout from the direction of Stirling. An eyewitness said that she indicated to turn right with her arm and moved to the right hand side of the carriageway. It was at that point that a vehicle, believed to have been an SUV type car, came up her inside, colliding with her before the trailer it was towing also hit her, knocking her onto the ground.

As Christina lay by the roadside in agony, with what was later diagnosed as a broken pelvis, the car sped away, failing to stop to check on the rider and exchange details.

Christina remains in hospital where she is set to go under the knife to repair the badly damaged pelvis.

A friend, who had been on the horror training ride at the time, said: “The following motorists and a bus driver stopped and rendered excellent assistance to Christina before the emergency services arrived.”"

You hope that one of those following cars had a dash-cam to get the number plate (even if not the actual impact, a SUV with a trailer 30 seconds earlier on video is pretty obvious what / who we're looking for).
Particularly the bus may well have an onboard forward facing CCTV (dashcam).

I got a dashcam when I got the new-to-me car earlier this year. And also the Garmin Varia 715 a couple of months ago on the bike with inbuilt camera. Already made use of the video to provide the evidence to our local Feds (who to be fair and give credit to, made use of it quickly) for some ****ish driving.

Here's hoping the guilty are caught and properly punished. And the victim heals well and soon.

The Bus will almost certainly have very good CCTV if its a proper service bus.

Hope she fixes up ok.

This is very local to me (Kippen) and a shock. Potentially we had a rare sunny interlude with the sun low in the sky combined with a distracted idiot behind the wheel of a heavy vehicle trailer combo. That dangerous, neglectful idiocy is now compounded with serious criminality by leaving the scene. Hope they catch em. And it is bound to be someone local.

Think latest news is she doesn't need surgery, which is great news...but still in a serious amount of pain.
