For the life of me I can't seem to find a petrol station with jetwash in the the W/SW Wolvo environs (the posh bit )

I need one now and again for bike cleaning purposes . . .

anyone know of one?

There's one in Wall Heath, although you probably won't want to slum it...

I'm Perton and the few that used to be near me on garage forecourts have been removed. Had to buy a dirtworker.

Bucket of soapy water, a brush and a hose pipe, Bradmore though ay it, can't compete with the posh Perton folk!!

Right, I have just been for a drive around...

Bargain Booze in Wall Heath

BP Dudley Road Kingswinford

both appear to have jet washes...

by the way where the heck is the Sainsbury's in Perton?

I drove all the way around Toy Town the other day, no signs for it or anything, . . . bizzare place . . .

Get on the Perton Parkway (2 mile circular) and look for the signs to either Perton centre or the library. Sainsbury's is right in the middle of the Pertonian Republic, near the lake. There's a car wash but no jet wash.

I jetwash all the time. Other than the fork and rear shock seals the rest gets a blast.
Is there anywhere else that you need to take care?
Not trolling or anything, I wanna know.

Not really. Some People seem to think your bike will turn to dust if you use a Jetwash.

But in conjunction with even Basic common sense, it's no Problem whatsoever.

I use mine every time I clean the bike (which is very regularly as I'm borderline obsessive about shiny stuff being shiny)

And it's a van mounted professional job too, not a wimpy Karcher from Tesco 😉
No problems whatsoever so far.

Basically when you jet wash your bike you just put water everywhere. If you want to maintain it in a tip top condition, you should perform a complete strip-down and re-grease every few washes... But then people and maintenance he 😉

Hugor, avoid fork, shock, and anything with bearings, such as hubs, headsets, BB, pedals, suspension pivots.Doesn't leave a lot to aim for really, does it 😕

That's what you call customer service - I know for a fact that there is not a single off-licence in Edinburgh offering a jet wash.

Pressure washer allows more precise aiming of water than a hose so you can avoid flooding the bearings, used sensibly, the biggest problem is blasting off the stickers on the frame afer a while.

Like when it rains ?

Is that an issue.

I enjoy tinkering, so that's not a problem.

I know for a fact there's a chip shop (or used to be) that sells beer and plays techno.

You don't get that down here...

Just dip it in the cut. Mind you, that water would **** your seals up quicker than jet washing them directly

Nope as the rain does not come with such pressure. Plus I do strip down my bike after a long ride under the rain.
