Cheapish pro5 hubs around made me want to build a new wheel. They're only 142mm though, so wondered if i could 'boostinate them' using WolfTooths version.

Done this with a few Pro4 hubs, with good success, and getting better/less wheel dish to boot.

But, no info on Pro 5 axle compatibility. They may just be the same, but without the hub in my hands i can't tell.

I actually want a SS rear, in 28hole, boost. But don't think this exists from Hope.

I’d say based on my experience in boosting a pro2 evo hub, the wolfstooth boostinator is a better solution than the hope boost end caps

What's wrong with the Hope boost conversion kit? Genuine question 😉

I've used the Hope kit on my Pro 4s with zero issues.

I have just thought the Wolf Tooth version, which leaves the Cassette side where it was meant to be, up against the drop-out was a more sensible solution, as the only part changing was the 'non drive' side end cap.

Small difference too, but the wheel gets a slightly better less/dish.

The hope end caps move the cassette 3mm away inboard of the mech hanger. In my limited experience with an 11 speed set up even after adjusting the limit screws I cannot shift up to the 42t sprocket, the mech doesn't have the capacity. I'm using a 12 speed mech to bridge the additional 3mm.

In your case, setting it up as a SS, I don't think you'll have any issues.

It kind of worked for me but sounded rough as a badgers arse in the 46t on an 11 speed setup.
Switched to generic spacers on the disc side and re dished the wheel and it's run fine ever since.

Generic spacers? By this do you mean something like the Wolf Tooth, as of course you also need the disk spacer.

ON a Pro 5?

Yep, i'm sure it'll work fine. It's only that i do tend to switch wheels around, and it may end up being run as a geared wheel eventually.

Yes, absolutely.

I'm already using 12 speed mechs on all my bikes that 11speed drivetrains. The 50t cassettes i'm using would not work well at all without doing it like this.

This wheel however, is for a Pinion geared bike!!

I'm running an 11 speed, 11-46 setup (Deore mech & shifter + Microshift cassette) and it works fine with the Hope kit. Not even particularly noisy in the 46t 🤷‍♂️
