40mm wide, 5mm thick. This seems like a great thing to me for the gravel bike (very much a drop bar newbie)

5mm sounds way too much for me, and reference bar plug in the photo doesn't help. It's like they've wrapped a duvet round the bars. Colour doesn't look great there either

£40 plus is strong money.

Cannondale Synapse tape looks very similar albeit not quite the same profile.

I love WT stuff too!

Is that better than two wraps of tape on just the tops and normal on the drops?

wouldn't be simpler (and cheaper) to glue foam to your gloves ? or buy a proper off roader 😉

Does look comfy - I use the Cinelli gel pad strip thingies as well - they are quite good

Redshift stems seem universally well reviewed. A little more spendy though.

I'd echo the above, I can't imagine liking tape that thick. And £40!!!!!!!! One of my off-road bikes has £1.20 chinese bar tape, the other has some £2 Planet-x bike ribbon synthetic cork stuff. The road bike has some faux leather looking stuff that I forget where it came from.

Is that better than two wraps of tape on just the tops and normal on the drops?

I've tried it but never really seen much point, if you're on the top there's so little weight on your hands it doesn't matter.

Fabric knurl. Thick, squidgy and rubbery. Makes you feel at home if your used to mountain bike grips

That's my issue, hoods are fine but the drops feel oddly skinny.

I've double wrapped my bars, probably at least 5mm. Fancy Zipp CX tape on top of cheap Boardman tape.

Did it partly out of curiosity and partly because we were supposed to be doing Paris-Roubaix.

It's fine though, tops are a nice place to be and don't feel much different to the aero profile bars on my road bike (which aren't double wrapped).

Bit 'coke can' feeling right enough, sort of wonder if I might go back to normal for CX season so my grip feels more secure...

I'd just double wrap on the cheap if you're curious.

Yawn. If you're going to troll at least try something original (or funny)...
