Rollercoaster has been quite badly damaged, also the trail next to it, logs across the trails from the berm onwards. The small logs have been pulled out from the three small drops too, luckily they couldn't move the bigger one as it's a fallen tree. The rest of church side was running well last night, other than branches getting low and bracken moving in.
Arseholes, love that trail! night ride tomorrow, might have a go at repairing b4 it gets too dark
The main Rollercoaster trail should still ride okay once cleared, just a bit less lip on the drops to pop off.Need to do a scouting run from now on though, it's such a fast track in places, could have been very messy!
I'll pass the info on, looks like we'll have to be a bit more wary on first runs for a bit.
Hope they don't get any idea about Hogan's, that top section is proper fast, sabotage there could cause horrendous crash.
Hmmn, possibly I'm mixing up Rollercoaster with Hogans run?! From the church car park it's the first trail you hit, down a fast straight, the trail drops off, very fast , then a small jump, some roots and into a well built left hand berm, three small drops and then the bigger drop over the tree?! This is the damaged trail!
I cleared logs out of the berm in the winter
There were logs on the new(ish) trail that crisscrosses Hogans Run On Thursday evening last week. One in the bottom of the second drop (just after the jump over Hogans), the second a bit further down on the RH Berm. I cleared them off the trail and as far away as I could lob them. (I'm assuming the naming of Hogans Run is correct on Strava BTW, the newer trail hasn't come up with a segment for me, possibly because I was messing about clearing logs.....
