Per the title I have a retro rear wheel on a hardtail that has play side to side. The rim and rear disc (so he body of the hub) have play in it.

Something must be amiss with the axle to hub body - I was hoping I could undo lock nuts and find some smaller bits that I could tighten and that would fix it.

Not to be. Got one but off but the hub clearly has cartridge bearings instead of loose ones. Tapped the axle and got it loose, but it won't fully pull out of the drive side.

Any ideas on how I get it apart fully and what the cause of the wobble could be?
