Appreciate this has probably been asked a thousand times, but any recommendations for a wireless and rechargeable front light for dark evening XC rides that's under £100? Been looking at the Ravemen PR1200 or the Moon Meteor Storm, but would welcome any recommendations or if someone could share a link to a previous thread.

The Halfords one is supposed to be quite good for £50.

I bought a couple of these last year - one was for Tyred Jr and the other was in case I liked it more than my Exposure Six pack which, to be fair, was going into its 8th or 9th winter.

Think I paid £60 each for them, pretty impressed with them. Bracket's a bit bulky but withstood a couple of crashes without complaint. Charges quite quickly and you get >2 hours runtime on full. Controls are probably more complex than they need to be, but sounds like the sort of thing you're after.

Bontrager ion Pro RT is pretty good for the cash, somewhere around £100. I should say that I use mine as a helmet light with a handlebar remote switch (wireless), it would just as easily work as a bar mounted light but would have a fairly narrow beam.

I’ve had both a Ravemen PR and Moon Meteor Storm Dual. Both are good for different reasons, but the Ravemen is more road-specific/gravel option while the Meteor Storm is MTB/gravel specific with no road option. The Moon Meteor Dual had a faulty white emitter so I had to send it back. I liked it as a self-contained unit though, and it was fairly bright, but was really quite disappointed thinking it would be usefully road-specific

Replaced it with a PR900 and it does everything I need road, but including short, simple MTB trails but I will use with my old Solar Storm X2 on helmet for dedicated downhill, branchy night MTB (hardly ever)

*Edit , both the Ravemen PR900 and the Meteor Storm Dual were wired remotes, not wireless, but appreciate they were slightly different models to OP so maybe double check?

Not cheap enough for you but I'd always go to Exposure first. Used them for 15 years odd in a couple of different flavours and they've been amazing.

They are very good. Probably unbeatable at the price.

They are excellent but the prices have stayed sky high and there's loads of other options these days. I still use my 10 year old Diablo but I probably won't bother buying Exposure again.

Another vote for Bontrager Ion Pro RT here. Great run time and compact remote make it a winner for me.

Happy with Evolva X8 for £50. Clones are available on Amazon.

Looking at the Magicshine RN3000 for a new bar light, though. 150 dolla.

I loved the Halfords ones, but both that I had were rather sudden death - the first one with a failed charge port shroud was warrantied, the second just wouldn't turn off at all after a ride, which was a bit worrying. Expect to get ~two winters out of it, and £10 spent on the hope QR clamp is a really worthwhile investment. I had the option to buy a big Exposure on Bike to Work the other year and took that.
I got one of the Moons last year as a helmet light, and it's been brilliant with one caveat: the battery is listed as an 18650, and that is the form factor. But both poles are at one end, so you can't simply bring a stash of spare 18650 cells with you and swap them mid-ride. I can see why they've done it, but one reason I went for a Moon was the possibility of being able to swap in new or high capacity cells easily as the old ones wore out. I suspect for that I'll have to wade into the dorky world of 'tactical flashlights'. eek.
