Ok who would have them and do you think they will live up to riding trail centers?

Has anyone tried them?

They are not made for the trail centre rider, to quote "the answer to the elite racers demands ".

Tubs are excellent for XC races where pits are never too far away. Would I ride them for a three hour blast on the trails, no.

They've been doing them for years, not new at all.

I'd be very interested to ride a pair, personally don't really see the point, they're heavier than clinchers (unless you go for proper mental AX-Lightness rims or similar), and I don't really get the performance benefits over tubeless. Makes changing tyres a real bugger too! Pro only IMO unless you have 5 sets of wheels.
