Hi all,

There is a group of us heading to Winterberg DH in Germany at the end of this week for a few days of riding and camping.

Does anyone know of any other locations not too far away (say within 200miles) where we can ride DH in case we get bored of the tracks or the weather is awful. As stated we're flexible as we're camping.

Done a Google search and a scout on Google Maps but can't see anything obvious.

Thanks

Not too far from Winterberg... heading south..

Willingen bike-willingen.de

Bad Wildbad bikepark-bad-wildbad.de

Further south, Todtnau http://www.bikepark-todtnau.de/

None of Winterberg, Willingen or Bad Wilbad are worth more than a days visit each.

There is also a bike park in the Vosges France which is probably closer than Todtnau. http://www.lacblanc-bikepark.com/bike-park/acces.htm

Check opening times for them all, it is still very early season.

I though Winterberg was really good fun. Especially if your half decent on a bike and can make the most of the slopestyle park. Me and some mate spent a long weekend there and had an amazing time. The Giro freecross?? I think it was track is basically a total roller coaster with jumps. Hours of fun. The shore stuff is ruddy terrifying though.

Also some nice places for some top notch beer and sausage in town.

Thanks all for input. I've saved some of the options as a back-up but looks like we'll have to do a fair bit of travelling if we get bored.

Like to think we're half decent on bikes so hopefully we can make the best of it.

Just hope the weather holds out for us, not looking great at the moment....
