Any recommendations for a good inexpensive rear tyre for my 27.5 hardtail?
Thanks in advance

Specialized Eliminator Grid 2.3 is pretty damned good if they’re still heavily discounted from Specialized. Or DHR2 2.3 Exo Dual if you’re spending more.

Depends where and how you ride though - you might need something bigger or tougher, you might need something skinnier and more open. But they’re good all-rounders.

Yes, I have the Eliminator on my 29 and the DHR2 on my 27.5

The Eliminator is a good size, closer to 2.4” than 2.3” on a 30mm rim. The DHR2 is fractionally under 2.3, 57mm to be precise on a 25.5mm rim.

This is a good place to check actual tyre sizes: http://www.reifenbreiten-datenbank.de/reifen-Specialized-Eliminator-27.5x2.30.html
