I'm looking for a good warm winter jersey for road/gravel? So any suggestions for a jersey, budget anything up to £100ish.

I have a couple of jackets but I run quite warm these days so a jersey would be more breathable I guess.

I really rate my Alpkit Rhythm Thicky. I've worn it in pretty cold conditions with or without a gilet and it's done well. It's quite wind resistant too.
Mine is orange which helps for evening visibility, I'm not so keen on the current colours..

Alpkit

I'm a fan of sport wool. You get a good few rides before the stink and the need for a wash. I currently have a long sleeve Torm but have just broken the zip after c4 or 5 years or so. But managed to bodge a fix by sewing it up a bit so the zip is fixed at the bottom.

I know it's not a full on winter jersey however I'd recommend the Galibier Roubaix jersey as it is what I bought last winter and really rate it. I also run quite hot.

Or you could get the winter specific jersey but I've not got of these so cannot comment on them other than they look decent.

I have a Torm sportwool jersey and they're great but not wind resistant in the least.

My pal has one of these and really rates it.

The only thing he didn't like was how the reflective bits are biased for continental riding (on the opposite side to UK).

I like my 7mesh free flow.
Light and warm. Doesn’t wet out with sweat like conventional jerseys, soft shells.

This Galibier jacket has scope for heat regulation.
My wife bought me one for my (summer) birthday, so I've not had the need to use it, yet.
It is, however, very well made and designed.

Are any of these as wind proof as wearing a goretex type jacket?
Please say yes!

@zippykona

The Galibier Mistral is windproof and waterproof (Mistral is a wind, in southern France, so that's a bit of a clue, besides the spec saying so)

I have the short-sleeved version and am very happy with it. Completely windproof and fairly water resistant. I'd say 5 degrees is the minimum, up to maybe 14. That covers a lot of riding outside of summer.

I've got lots of Torm sportwool and love them. One is double fronted material so more wind resistant, but will breathable 👍

Morvelo Thermoactive are very nice if you’re after a jersey. Not a jacket though and not windproof.

I prefer layering in winter so would go base layer, Rapha Jersey and Gilet.

This in short sleeve version with the arm warmers makes for a more flexible jersey

Exactly this. Rapha core long sleeve is good.

Perfetto innit? In the sales or secondhand of course. But I agree with above, the base layer is important too.

I'm a big fan of my Endura Jetstream jersey, it has a windproof chest and roubaix back. I can put a baselayer under it for dry winter rides.

This must be the current version: https://www.cyclist.co.uk/reviews/9030/endura-fs260-pro-jetstream-jersey-ii-review
