Are these recommended? What's difference to northwave arctic? I assume latter are mega warm
And sizing - how do they come up?
Thanks
yes !
Correct arctic have fleece lining and above 5C you will have hot feet!
sizing go 1 european higher than your normal
In my opinion the best winter boots going. Warm and dry feet can never be over estimated.
Ive been trying to find the aortic ones in stock somewhere for a reasonable price - can't really find any yet.
Arctic for £125

cheers, was hoping to get closer to £100.
Got a pair towards the end of last winter - very comfy, nice stiff sole and warm. Bonus is that they're easy to get on and off.
I did the 1 European size above my normal size and if anything they're a little bit big - try before you buy I reckon.
cheers, was hoping to get closer to £100.
Moon on a stick, I would think - that deal I posted is by far the cheapest I've seen.
3rd winter with my artic boots.
unless its bollock freezing i can get away with pretty think socks, dry and toasty is the way to go.

The ones linked to are the fairly new version 2s. Hopefully you can pick up the older ones cheaper?
If you're a size 48 Winstanleys have them for £85.
I've the non-arctic ones that I wear on my road bike. Was out last weekend at -2 and toes were getting cold with one pair of winter socks on. When it warmed up to +3 or so they were fine. So I think an extra pair of liner socks would take you nicely below zero. I went one size up so I could do this. Otherwise I think fit is bang on
Wore them yesterday at around +9 and they were bordering on the too warm so a nice temp range for typical British winters.
Standard Northwave celsius for me. With a pair of merino socks I can't ever remember my feet being in the slightest bit cold, even down to 0 deg. I sized normally and size is spot on.
For a cheap-ish heat boost, have a look on sailing shops websites for polypropylene (polypro and other brand names, essentially any good winter gear they sell) socks.
It's the same plastic a fleece, but usually woven and with a fleecy 'brushed' inner. They're hydrophobic, so even if you're soaked through they'll shed the water quickly and warm up.
I wear my arctics all the way through Spring without getting uncomfortable.
