Heard some bad things about them in the past, any reason I shouldn't order something from their website?

I've used them several times. Never had a problem.

Main thing is to check it's definitely in stock. Otherwise you can wait weeks/months.

Ordered two things from them so far (both in stock items), both turned up the next day. Can't fault them so far.

I've used them quite a bit recently and not been disappointed, they are one of the cheapest places I could find for Hope stuff and as such I didn't mind waiting a few days longer (for stuff to come into stock) and their communication (with predicted dates etc) was pretty good too.

Ordered a frame set off them Monday lunchtime, arrived first thing Tuesday morning.
Can't really complain about that 😀

The problem is that unlike folks like Wiggle, CRC or Ribble, their stock control system isn't connected to their website

Please don't confuse with Rob Winstanley Cycles, Hull. An excellent little bike shop 🙂

Luckily I live about 5 mins from Merlin and 15 mins from Winstanleys so tend to call in for parts I need, both are pretty good, I would imagine their mail order service to be pretty good!
