Happy Friday.
Living near the coast I have to deal with the wind constantly so looking for a decent windproof when out on the road bike.
I've got my eye on either an Endura fs260 jersey:

Or this from decathlon:

Has anyone used either or these? Decathlon seems good value.
Thanks
Bump for the forum bug 🙂

Do you want a windproof jersey or a windproof shell?
I have a few Montane windproofs which I rate. Have a look at their factory outlet website for bargains:
Oops, meant this:

I'm not sure if jersey or a shell is better, I don't think I want a thick jacket but something to take the wind chill away between spring and autumn.
I've got an FS260 in the drawer somewhere, it's a decent top to be fair and is definitely wind proof. Not as breathable as a Castelli Perfetto, but also about a 1/3 of the price.
I picked up a gabba last year, love it. It seems to be meant as a jacket though - is the perfetto supposed to be a lighter version that you wear as a top on it's own? I would like some windproof armwarmers to go with the short sleeve gabba
on the montane thing - I've got a montane featherlight velo from back in the day when they did cycle specific tops. It's great but despite being a "small" it's quite flappy, so I'm tempted by the XS Feathelight 7d now

I always head for the gilet when it's just for cutting out the windchill as they roll up so small once it does warm up or the wind drops and you have the flexibility of combining with arm warmers or not. Worth a look?
Mine's from the sadly now defunct Aussie Grit but I expect one of Galibier options would do the trick - https://www.galibier.cc/short-sleeve-wear/.
I've got that Endura top. It's phenomenal. I use it as a windproof shell, and it's so light, so comfortable and very windproof so I stay so warm for so little bulk I can't quite believe it.
I also have a long sleeved Endura Pro SL jersey which is lighter and a bit less windproof, but still cuts out a fair bit so it's a perfect intermediate jersey for me - it's outstanding, among the best (if not the best) bits of kit I've ever worn.
Massively impressed with Endura's latest offerings - the design and build quality is as good or better than the Assos kit I have and it's cheaper. And it fits me better.
I got a Madison windproof jersey from start fitness for £20 last week. Haven't tried it but it looks decent quality.
Comes in yellow as well. Probably not what you're after, but it's £20!!
Cheap and cheerful convertible Tog24 here that works brilliantly.
Mrs_oab has a better cut, better featured, nicer coloured Pearl Izumi Elite Barrier - another convertible one, weighs not a lot and she is suddenly realising why I wear mine so often... I plan on buying mens one when my Tog24 dies.
I have the endura fs260 and the perfectto. Both are excellent, the perfectto is a bit warmer but still breathes well, has better pockets and a very long tail that I fold up. It’s more expensive but often on sale. Not quite sure why but the fs260 just pips it for me.
I have the Endura jersey but don't rate it that much: the front is windproof but the arms are not. I prefer to use a Galibier sentinel short sleeve and windproof lusso arm warmers.
I'd just get a windproof jacket or gilet you can stick in your back pocket and take out when needed.
Something like one of these:
https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/rcr-ultralight-packable-showerproof-jacket/_/R-p-305439
https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/road-cycling-windproof-gilet-racer/_/R-p-326003
So my rides tend to be anywhere from 25-50 miles depending on how I'm feeling.
I've considered a gilet but living on the east coast it's a seemingly and delightfully persistent cold breeze for the entire ride so as much as a gilet is an option I think a proper jersey would arguably be more appropriate as I can't imagine ever taking the gilet off.
Thank you so far the responses 😊
