i'm thinking of moving the HTPC to Win7. i dont have a legitimate copy of XP or Vista so will be a fresh install. given that, what's the best deal available? the family pack looked like a great deal as £129 but not clear if not having a current version will be a problem or not. confused!

edit - oops, wrong forum.

Sounds like you will need a full version, not the Vista upgrade version.

I think it starts from around £150 for the full version, or £60 for the Home Premium upgrade.

thats what i thought - shame as the family pack at 120 would have encouraged me to go fully legit 🙁

have the full version in my grubby mits! Mate bought two copies a couple of months ago when it was pre-order at £40. Decided he only wanted one copy!

Now just need to order new CPU,mob etc to make the upgrade worthwhile!!
