Evening - Just wondering if anyone knows if the west shore trail along lake windermere is clear?
Planning on a weekend in the lakes at the end of Jan and taking the ferry across Windermere then cycling to Wray Castle. I heard there were a few fallen trees blocking it.
Any one ridden it in the last few weeks?
Saw a FB post from someone who tried it on Boxing Day and said there were lots of trees down across the path. This was one of their pics.
Couple of riding mates tried this no Friday and it's a walk, I imagine trees will be down for a while, there are still a LOT of trees down, yes roads mostly clear but much to do, so allow patience in wooded areas. Still routes available but check first or allow time to walk round. Enjoy, may be alternative routes from further up the Hawkshead road.
Hmmm looks like that trail will be out of action for a while then.
