The Guys at STW have allowed me to post this.
Some of you may know that I run a website called UKgravelCO.com that does reviews and opinion pieces about, well I think you can guess, gravel bikes. Recently I reviewed a set of Ortlieb Waterproof bike packing bags https://ukgravelco.com/2022/11/09/ortlieb-waterproof-frame-and-seat-pack-review/

https://flic.kr/p/2nWuRo2

I was due to return the bags to Lyon Cycle the Ortlieb Distributor, but I had the idea that maybe instead of this I could use the bags to raise some money to support other bicycle riders, via a not for profit company called Rider Resilience.

Please read on, but if you haven’t time, here’s the short version. For a £5 donation to Rider Resilience, you can win the lightly tested bike packing bags worth over £200 for your own adventures. If you’ve got this far and still can’t read on, scroll to the embedded video below.
Donate here https://riderresilience.org/donate

Rider resilience is the brainchild of Nils Amelinckx and you will have seen some of his stunning photography is Singletrackworld and many other cycling and outdoor adventure mediums. Nils though has a bit of a story too, you can read it here, and be prepared for a dust filled eye or two https://riderresilience.org/nils-story

RIDER RESILIENCE is a registered not-for-profit community interest company set up to draw on the strength and camaraderie of the bicycle community, to enable anyone in the face of adversity to ride through their hardship.
By encouraging the use of any bicycle as a platform to find resilience, the movement pulls together cyclists to support each other, paying forward the joy derived from riding and in turn making the world a better place.
Our aim is to become a global collective, with riders and brands proud to be affiliated with a recognisable advocacy movement.
Rider Resilience will be a resource from which strength, inspiration and funding for special projects can be drawn, whilst continuously paying it forward.
Check out The Rider Resilience website here https://riderresilience.org/

To win the bags you need to donate a minimum of £5 and when you go through the process of donating on the Rider Resilience website there’s a comment box. Add “UK Gravel Collective” or “UKgravelCO” to the box and complete the donation and you are in the draw. Donate here https://riderresilience.org/donate

The draw will be on New year bank holiday, I won’t be choosing, Nils will use a random name generator and will contact you if you win.

Massive thanks to STW for allowing me to use their platform to publicise this and to Lyon Cycle for donating the bags.

Even if you don’t donate please share this with everyone or share or repost the ukgravelco youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/@ukgravelco/videos or Instagram page https://www.instagram.com/ukgravelco/ if you use it.
Hope you can support this great idea and thanks for reading down this far!

oh and if you missed it you can Donate here https://riderresilience.org/donate

Great response so far, thank you to all those who have donated and the messages I've had via insta.
There's still plenty of time to enter to win these bike packing bags. Keep up the good work 👌

Done.

I would just like to add... my Rider Resilience T-shirt and Fisherman's beanie arrived today. Lovely quality and highly recommended.

Also, really hoping that I can contribute to this cause in a more meaningful way next year 🙂

Done but please dear god don’t let me win. I find the whole gravel packing thing quite distasteful 🤮😀

Donated. I was going to buy the saddlebag anyway, so will wait and see if I can win it first.

@Rubber_Buccaneer dibs on the saddle bag if you win. I promise I won't be fitting it to a gravel bike.

Bump for the slightly tipsy Friday night crew who want a last chance to be in with a chance of fun times sleeping outside 😂

Hoping to get them posted out this weekend, having to have a real job does get in the way!
