I know they aren't top of the range but I'm waiting til I finish my job in which I commute on shit lanes.

Will this fit 10 speed with the hub WH-R500?

9 & 10spd freehub bodies are the same. As long as it's the correct freehub body for your hub then you can run a 10spd cassette on it.

Yes. 8, 9, & 10 speed all fit on the same free hub.
