Despite the UCI rules changing there still aren't many bikes or frames available with discs. Certainly not cheaper ones.
Is this because the manufacturers still have non disc designs they had worked on until the ruling or is a general rejection of the disc idea by manufacturers?
Still after a do it all bike (so pretty much a drop bar hybrid).
I hope so, I really do. Hope are working on an adaptor to run discs from STI levers so they much think there's a market. What it really needs is for Shimano to make a hydraulic STI though. As much as I love disc brakes, I think STI shifters are more use then disc brakes so wouldn't trade one for the other.
My cross/commuter bike runs STI with very old Hope remote reservoirs to E4 brakes front and rear.
