Hello

I've got a nice Ultegra 4iii crank that I want to use on my MTB. MTB chainset will be an 8000 XT number (yet to buy) - both are the same crank length. Can I run the Ultegra crank on the XT chainset or will kittens explode? For info, frame is a Sonder Frontier

Thanks!

won't clear the chain stay, mtb crank arms have more offset

What length is the ultegra. My mate is looking for one if it's for sale.

Also, what dirtyrider said. I tried it to no avail.

It depends on the frame, but you'd end up with asymmetric cranks. But if it's a 68mm bb shell you could move the spacers to the nds and probably be not far off.

Sell the 4iii and get an even cheaper Avio? They will fit it to an existing crank for £250 which makes them quite a bit cheaper than stages/4iii.

I'm unning and ahhing over one, but my bikes are a mishmash of mega exo, bb30 and gxp. So would need to convert it all to 105 and buy the power meter and can't quite justify that.
