Should be just fine. I've had Raze 35c CX tyres on my Arch EX rims no bother. Gives them lots of volume.

Cheers, thinking of roading up my 29er, now my commute is purely on roads.

might put some drop bars and bar end shifters on as well.

Will be fine, I've run tyres from 32mm up to 2.5" on 19mm rims

Yes, I've got those wheels/rims and my 37mm Conti Contact tyres fit fine. The wheels are heavy, but I've been running them all summer on my road bike, including a loaded tour through Belgium and Holland and not had a single issue.

I use Arch Ex rims on my CX with 35mm tyres and they're 21mm internally

no problem at all, will spread the tyre better if anything, I run 25mm slicks on 19mm internal diameter 29er rims without issue.
