Summer holiday booked for Morzine with the kids, taking their bikes for their first uplift adventure.
Daughter has a trek Roscoe with sun Duroc 40mm rims with 2.8 Schwalbe tyres. It’s just come to mind that they might be too wide for the various tyre grabbing lifts.
2.8 tyres aren’t daft wide in current trends but will the lifts accommodate them. If not, she might have to go 29er.
Thanks
Yup, I'd say so. I use 2.4s there and there seems to be loads of leeway.
Id be wanting to check properly with them and some measurements, 2.5 minions on 25mm internal rims here and although i have plenty of room 2.8 on 40mm is pretty wide, i reckon pushing it on the bucket style lifts. Email them or one of the guiding companies for a bit of advice.
I was in Morzine last summer with 27x 3.00 tyres on. No problems anywhere.
Thanks bedmaker, good to hear.
Was on 2.6 Marys whilst out there, no problems to report.
