Yes, for the 200.

Remembered that entry was open at 1230am & looks like I was lucky I didn't leave it until this morning...more than the maximum amount of nutters have applied overnight. 😯

Yes, but no.
In for the 100, rather than the full 2.

Entry list updated an hour ago.

The Two Ton 'O Gravel is now at 40 entrants, so we're onto the reserve list for this now.

There's still 13 places left on the Wildcat 100 before we start a reserve list for that too.

Rorschach, what tires then? I'm going Ardents front and rear , I've got some Specialized Renegades that are super fast but a bit fragile for out in the wilds.

I've got some Stans The Crows if I go mtb or I'll get Clement X'plor Mso 40mm if I use the cx bike.
Or maybe the Clements on the mtb? I ran cx tyres on the 29er at HtN and it was...interesting 😀

200 here - possibly the most ridiculous thing ive done at a new years party for a few years!

really looking forward to it though - will be testing the ' what doesnt kill you makes you stronger' theory 🙂

Me and the missus are in. There must have been a lot of guilty-feeling MTBers this morning then!

The plan is to monstercross it, depending on how rugged the route is.

Have to admit I'm more concerned about my spare tyre than my bike's tyres.

200 here - building a cyclocross bike in the inaugural race's honour!

strategy (so far and whilst hungover by the fire) is to ride through the night and not carry any gear to make stopping an option!

food / refuelling are the biggest issues as far as I can see!

looking forward to meeting with Charlie TBM finally!

Best(my) plan is to befriend CtBM and stick close to him at all times. He'll no doubt have a fine selection of cheeses and speciality nibbles.

Snakeskin Ralphs for me but more importantly I'd like to get a Spot tracker anyone any advice?
Still about 9/10hrs where lights will be needed too, I plan superlight non stop, will be interested to get the GPX file so water/food can be considered properly

Down for the 100. Probably on the Pivot LES with Schwalbe Thunder Burt snakeskins, unless I can fit 1.75" smart sams on the CX bike.

Some of the fireroads are pretty rough.

Presume you mean ss, then yes. Hoping to use as a training ride for something else.

I thought he meant are you doing it without a break . . . . no sleep but a lighter bike (plastic for an emergency b&b weighs less than a tarp - if you can find one!)

In for the 200, aiming to go drop bar gravel racer stylee just for the hell of it, but fully expect some severe body abuse after 200 miles of Welsh fireroads. optomistic 24 hour target!

Anyone know if this is all on public rights of way... Would be a great end of season target to try and get fit for?

Sheck, drop Ian at Wildcat a line, its pretty much his backgarden so he'd be the man to ask.

The gpx file will be made available after the event for anyone to have a go at, so I pressume it is all public rights of way. They arent releasing it before as they dont want any extras on the start line. Think both 100 and 200 entry lists are full and one of the reserve lists is also full.

Sorry to bump this (and haven't posted in an age) but can I just check I'm not the only person who is actually planning to have at least a small sleep on the 200 route?
