You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
So like most the lockdown thing started to get a little tedious, local rides started to get a tad boring, so **** it sold my plus hardtail and decided to build a tidy 29er hardtail.
P7 ? Stanton ? Ragley... lets have a look .. Big Al ticks all the boxes.. search engine Boom
Wiggle has two in stock in xl in the right colourway ..orders, receives confirmation of stock levels and purchase ..7 days wait due to Covid, not a problem gives be time to source all other bits for new shiny build.
4.50pm tonight 24 hours after money taken via PP a nice email claiming they are sorry and want to offer %5 discount on another frame as due to a stocking issue they have no frames until 27th July 2020 ..... so offer me 5% off a Nukeproof xl scout frame thats is nowhere near the same and to add insult they are still saying stock of the Ragley is available in the different colourway.
Ive never been a fan of companies taking the piss but when they are not contactable on the phone and have already taken the money, needless to say I was left feeling a tad miffed ...
Buyer beware !
I'd like to offer some sympathy but you used the word colourway not once but twice. 😵
You poor princess not getting a galaxy frame maybe take this as a sign that you’ll be “Steve the shiny disco ball” if you find one 🤣🤣
On the upside you could order a scandal from px, maybe get it before summer, and it's 150 quid this weekend saving you a fair chunk of beer tokens
Isnt a Plus hardtail and a 29er hardtail basically the same thing?
Not in Whytes case ^
what stu says
Just email the ceo he/she will send you some glitter paint 🤣🤣🤣
There's no 'u' in colorway.
There’s no ‘u’ in colorway.
There is in English!
ah the lesser spotted humilem facie gloriantur! 😉
WIGGLE wiggling customers into not asking for full refund
Shocker... yet I've experienced same yrs ago
singlespeedstu nails it with the first response
So let me see the automatic payment system takes your money that you expected to give to wiggle anyway. They then contact you within 24hrs to say they had a stock error and offer you 5% off a different frame but it isn't the right colour so you say no. I'm guessing you got a refund so whats the actual problem here?
Well is doesn't sound like the worst online shopping experience I have heard. Wiggle are great 99% of the time and if it shows in stock it actually is. Guess there was an issue with this particular item but getting it sorted in 24 hours is better than the weeks I have had to deal with companies to get money back from something that wasn't in stock.
And don't use the word colourway in any emails to them as that will definitely delay matters.
