Was thinking of doing this but the wet weather is putting me off as Catton park doesn't have a great reputation in the wet. May do the Gorrick instead as the course is more weather proof. Already down for SITS though,so would be nice to see the course. Will wait till later in the week to decide.

I shall be there in mens pairs.

Hoping for a windy and sunny week to dry the course out a bit.

I'll be there if the weather looks ok. Having ridden there in the mud, I won't be going if it's pissing down, esp stuck in a pen for 6 hours with no decent shelter.....

All these fair weather bikers cause a bit of a dilemma for me.
Supposing 100 riders enter, but only 60 turn up on the day.
Supposing I finish 30th, can I rightfully claim to be 30th/100, which sounds quite good, or should I claim 30th/60, which isn't so good ?

Top third sound better than top half and I'd probably have beaten the big girl's blouses anyway if they're afraid of a bit of mud.

I'm down to ride solo but have woken today with a sore throat and ear ache and feel as weak as a kitten (no difference there then)

1) Yes, you can say you finished 30th/100. Entrants are entrants.

2) "afraid of a bit of mud" You've, err, never 'raced' at Catton in the wet, have you! 😉

I'll be going round on my single speed if weather doesnt pick up. I live about 15 miles from Catton and whilst today is Ok the rest of week isnt looking to clever.

7 day forecast is for SLEET. May be taking the rocket rons off as the mud clearance on the selma is woeful.
