Trying to find the first pedal bike for my sons 5th birthday and I have been offered a Wiggins Macon 16" quite cheap. Does anyone have one and know if its any good?

I know Cnoc'S and Frog'S are awesome but they are just such an expensive initial investment (even though you will often got your monely back on the resale).

Thanks!

We used Ridgeback MX16's for my two.

If you keep your eye out you can generally pick up one that has hardly been used cheaply. They are not quite as light as an Islabike but for the money are a good compromise.

These are the only bikes I've ever owned and made money on when sold.

My nephew just got one I think, and it's the best little bike I've seen. He was ripping around on it and loving it.
