i'm after a nice wide 29er tyre, widest i'm finding is around 2.4 can you get wider than that?

previous analysis gives me:
RR 2.4 on 19.5mm bead width rim = 60mm
Ignitor 2.1 on 19.5mm = 52mm
RR 2.4 on 30mm (Gordo) = 61mm
WTB 2.55 Werewolf on 30mm = 60mm

RR on Stans Flow (23mm) tubeless 62mm

There is a 2.5 WTB Dissent tyre if you are not put off by downhill tread or weight that I think is the widest at current.

I thought the Ardent 2.4 was the widest real world tyre.

Same tyre, same pressure. Racing Ralph profile differences - Salsa rim on left, KH on right:

As above, RR casing is enormous, but 2.4 ardent adds bigger knobblies to that. Pretty big.

I've found that the RR just rubs my chainstays on hard cornering but the Ardent doesn't. So I'd say the RR is widerer.

I found I couldnt run RR in the back of my Ti29er - cant move disc calliper far enough backwards to cover the rotor when the wheel is far enough back to avoid rubbing - there's actually enough track end for it though.

epic - I assume you mean 30mm gordo, not delgado?

is that a new one? All my (disc, race, semi) delgados are around the 20mm mark.

Had them 3 years. They were somewhat hard to get at the time so I bought 3.

salsa are very inconsistent with their product names and specs.

when i was shopping for rims I ended up with things like semi, disc race, degado disc etc, none of which actually appeared on their website!

Ive got a pair of stouts off a friend. hefty, but not yet tried on a wide rim yet...

I thought the Gordos were 35mm?

I've found the weirwolfs and ardents to be the same size.
