It all depends on just how wide your feet actually are. Shimano, Mavic and Sidi all do a wide fit option, but it isn't that wide. I couldn't get my feet into a wide fit Mavic, for example, but they went into Northwave shoes, just.

Bont do wide, but those aren't necessarily imported, plus they're still not that wide, although they do do custom shoes.

Lake do proper wide fit, they also do extra wide and custom, if you have really odd feet.

I have feet that are as wide as a normal fit size 10, but in a size 7. Lake wide fit fit, with lots of room to spare, including enough volume for custom footbeds.

YMMV, HTH, HAND, etc

I got some Lake MX160's  last year. They were sold as 'really wide fit'. They arent. They are wider than standard shoes, but not as wide as the Sidi Dominator Mega, which I have a pair from 10 years ago, and still in good condition. If I needed some now, I'd definitely pay the extra and go for the Sidi.

I have been using northwave shoes.

Seem to come up slightly wide as standard.

Just a quick note that not all Lake's are created equal, as they use different lasts for the different ranges. Check the sizing chart, find the last that fits best, look at those shoes.

I'm sure that same applies to other brands too.

Sidi Mega versions for my shovel feet.

Got some MTB Lakes as well that are decently wide.

Strangely I tried on some Diadora shoes for a laugh to see how tight they'd be and was quite surprised how roomy they were.

Just got a pair of the Giro privateer HV shoes as I found the last pair of shimanos were a bit narrow.

Seem good ,but not done much mileage in them yet.

I have only ever used mtb shoes on my road bikes and just go for a carbon/stiff sole

Newer specialized road shoes don't seem as wide as they used to be, and I have to go up a size in their MTB shoes now.

Shimano wide is pretty wide. I can't get comfortable in any normal shoe I've tried (even the known 'wide' brands) and the shimano wide is actually too wide so the upper gets a wrinkle when I cinch them up.

Giro HV range are spot on for a wider foot.

Shimano wide seem to be about the best of the run of the mill stuff. I’ve tried the Mavic, specialised and Shimano options and the Shimano is widest. They’re a bit boring though - it means i have a choice of 1 pair of shoes for each mtb and road.

I have some old sidi megas which I always found very comfortable, but they have naff all arch support, so now I have some lakes which do and my knees hurt less too.

Specialized, but I do usually have to size up, adding a pleasantly clown-like touch to the toe area.

I use shimano wide fit the only issue is they are quite wide round the ankle too.

Which means you have to strap them up quite tight.

I'd probably recommend them more if your feet are a bit "fat" rather than just wide.

My favourite are wide fit Specialized but good luck finding them, I got mine in the US. I've tried Lake, Giro, Sidi etc none fit. The only other shoe I've tried and bought which are good as my Specialized are standard, off the shelf Fizik.
