I'm looking for some wide cross tyres to go on my Guerciotti Lyra CX bike. Currently using Schwalbe CX Pro's which are a little narrow for non racing off road riding I'm doing the Hell of the West CX sportive in September and I'm after something with a bit more durability than an out-and-out race tyre. I've been looking at Schwalbe Smart Sam's in 40mm, does anyone have any experience with using these off road at all? Any other suggestions would be most gratefully received.
