Without going into too much detail, the saddle I have now (Fizik M5), which has a channel, is pressurising the 'sides' of my perineum

So, I'm not sure to go back a non channel, or wider channel...?

A riding buddy has just picked up a Decathlon women's specific, which he reckons is super comfy. I looked, but think they are not sold separately as he bought it off eBay, off a complete bike

Cheers for any feedback/suggestions

I've got a Selle Italia Max Flow, yes you can feel the sides, no nothing goes numb, on balance the standard SLR Flow was a better compromise as it's comfortable all day as long as I get out the saddle every so often and it got relegate to my MTB.

I'm currently offering a road saddle on the turbo and mtb.

Fabric Line Shallow Elite Wide

So far so good.

Selle Italia do Flow/Superflow/Maxflow

Saddle are really personal - buy lightly used on eBay and resell until you find what works for you. I rode Selle flow way back but have just ridden standard SLR for years

Katie's on Superflow

This is the way to do it. Just be aware that saddles do wear out, the shells get flexible and then they're agonizing regardless!

Thanks Guys

Nothing is going numb, as that happens with central pressure

It's the sides of the channel I think that are causing the problem

I’m getting on pretty well with a Spesh Phenom. Less saddle padding helps but then the fit has to be just so. As near to ‘perfect’ as I’ve found since they discontinued the Indie XC, which was a budget seat but fitted me like a glove.

Have had an eye on the Ergon SMC for a while, maybe check those out?

I use seller smp I've a drakon on the road bike and a lite 209 on the mtb, expensive but worth it if it solves a problem as mine did, I was lucky as my lbs is a dealer for them and let me try a few models for a week at a time until I was happy , I'd tried a few others including spesh. Good luck
