Big Christmas surprise so shhhh, but laddo has stood next to me today and seems to have grown taller again. He's probably 5'6" now but with every passing month grows bigger as kids do.  I've bought a medium but I'm now worried it'll be too small within a year. I fully appreciate this is what happens but I'm hoping that they size up bigger than normal with the modern geometry etc. Your thoughts...

5’11 on a large T130s here..

Spotty dog imho..

Should point out I would've been happy on a medium too..

They're long, but with a low stand over.

Thanks for that last sentence. He's only 13 and likes to chuck his bike about a bit as he's watched far to many you tube vids. 5'11 is hopefully at least 2 or so years away.

Same as Teetosugars - mate went for large at 5'11 but he had demos of both medium and large that we both rode. We'd both have been happy enough on the med, he went large just for an extra bit of reach.

6'0 and on a 2015 slightly shorter M. People think it's weird... but i think it's right. I had both the M and L here for the afternoon and picked the M.

5' 6" here and a medium T130 was too tall, even with a shorter dropper post. Happily riding a medium Process 134.

5'9" here on a medium t-129. Loads of seatpost left, the chap I bought it from was 6" and had the seat loads higher - pic below shows the medium when I got it. reverb collar now almost touching the frame...

The difference in standover height between the L and the M is only 6mm.  The bigger difference is in the reach and the seat tube length.  I found that when I bought my 901, the geometry is so different these days that standover height is no longer a good way to tell if a frame fits.

5ft 9 on a medium. Fits just right so reckon you've got a while to go yet.

I love mine. He's a lucky boy!

Well yesterday's ride at cannock proved what an awesome bike it is. He absolutely loves it. So much so that he was in the top 10 for the day on some of the descents on straaaava. Yes, only 13 and already looking for Strava times. Thanks for the previous help folks.
