Offered a good price on the above bike but wondering if it will suite my riding, which is longer xc routes and occasional trail use. I've read that carbon frames are uncomfortable on longer rides due to the stiffness? The bike looks like it has a top spec and for the price it's very tempting.
Have ridden a Whyte T-130S and everything felt OK but just need advice on carbon?
Just to throw a spanner in the works, someone mentioned a Santa Cruz 5010C but from what I can see, they are quite a bit more expensive and the carbon wheels are extra.
I don't really need carbon or carbon wheels, but the Whyte is a great price.
Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

There's a lot wrong with this statement. Carbon can be as stiff or flexy as the designer wants (cant remember the last time I heard about an overly stiff carbon mtb). However, yours would be a full suspension so will definitely have rear wheel movement!
If you've ridden an S, then all you really need to think about is that the C will be lighter
Yes, the weight is 12.9KG on the C Works and that will be a bonus on the climbs.
T130 is a great all rounder, actually think the 2017/2018 models ride nicer than the newer ones. 2019 models are longer and slacker, probably a bit faster going down but not as much fun. I've had a 2017 T130C RS for over 3 years and it is brilliant. Has done everything from uplift days to multi-day coast to coast rides. It's been very reliable and is just a lot of fun to ride. They aren't the lightest, even with lightish wheels/tyres, carbon bar & cranks mine is still 13.5kg with pedals, so similar weight to the Works once you add pedals on. But they are great bikes, I often think about changing it for a lighter 29er but then I ride it again and those thoughts soon disappear!
