Anyone got one, tried one, have an opinion? My other half would like an ebike for a bit of commuting and would like to do some touring/bike packing type adventures in the future. This looks promising and there's some decent discounts around but can't find much in the way of reviews. For context it'll mostly be used on the road, cycle paths or some very easy off road.
We've just been buying a hybrid / do it all / gravel eeb for mrs_oab.
We tried a few - including a hire for a weekend. The mid motor bikes just felt overly powerful and very heavy for her to use.
We've ended up, via Stirling Cycles, with a cracking deal on a Merida eSpeeder 400 with the hub Mahle x35. It's 13.5kg in xs...about what her mountain bike weighs. It's still got reasonable range and we can get range extender.
