No internal cable guides. The chainstay is particularly an arsehole with the bends in the cable. You can try taping the new outer to the end of the old and pulling it through. I'm sure there are better techniques though. I think I might have used a different technique too. Try YouTube.

Can’t you use a double ended barb - I know they are mostly for hydraulic hose but should work fine? Was a piece of cake on my G170.

Alternatively just change the inner. Flush the outer through with brake cleaner or similar then relube. I often find that makes a decent difference..

the double ended barb idea is genius. As is just doing the inner - that was my original idea but shifting is pretty cr@p. May try that and see how it goes

could also try new inner through old outer then new outer over new inner

The double end barb (rockshox dropper type) works, push don’t pull! Or leave the old inner in, cut off the barrel and frayed end and remove old outer. Slide new outer over the old inner, lubricating the outer of the outer to help slippage. The inner can kink so preferable to damage the old one than the new. Still can be a pain but internal routing - it’s progress innit!! (Tongue firmly in cheek)

That's what I did with the old inner and sliding the new outer over. Do that. You might still have to go fishing for the outer in the chainstay but hopefully not. Definitely worth changing the outer.
