After a great few days on the Quantocks and Exmoor, Mrs Yunki is sufficiently convinced that she is worthy of a better bike...

Cycle to work scheme and has to be lighter than her entry level GT

Any thoughts?

How tall is she? The 901 is a long bike, even in small size.

Have you seen the new Whyte 806? Very similar to the 901, but slightly more female friendly geometry, still has 1x11, and comes in @ £999...

she's about 5'5 but feels cramped on her present lady's geo bike..
There's a Whyte dealership fairly nearby so we'll go up and have a test ride

thanks 🙂

I borrowed a whyte901 at the w/end and didn't really gel with it. Nice comfy ride but yep, too long, too slack and it didn't feel as agile as I'd like. It was my first ride on 27.5 btw, my usual ride is a Ti456 and getting back on it made it feel short in the top tube which it isn't rally. I'm 5'4" 30in leg. oh and it had ridiculously wide handle bars which measured that I wanted to saw off.
