Hi guys
I have seen this pop on eBay, it was an attractive bike until I noticed the serial number has been filed off of it!
Spread the word, see if you know anyone that it might belong to.
How do you know the number has been removed?
There appears to be a number under the bottom bracket in one or more of the pics.
Looking at other 146 on google there is no serial number there. Looks to me like a scratch that someone's tried to sharpie over.
Here's another -

Serial number was on bottom bracket and on the underside of the stay (I can't remember where though)...I think that picture is a scratch that has meant to be fixed.
I love that suspension design.
Actually has it been destickered there and that is a leftover bit from the sticker?
The swingarm would be an odd place to stamp a serial number.
Put the pitchforks down, people.
So nearly bought one of them at the end of last year...Liteville just pipped it in terms of desirability. Lovely looking frame though
Whyte 146 user here. I can confirm the frame number is under the BB. The swingarm has a serial number on a little sticker which is difficult to see when the bike is fully assembled. I can't say if that is an unusual wear or scuffing pattern or not. The same part of my bike looks like this:
Main frame and swingarm have a serial number...they pair so if you have any issues they record the details. They then know if a dodgy part has been reused...
