[Closed] Why is the new S-Works Epic rear shock such poor quality?

Ive only had my S-Works Epic a year brand new from the local S dealer and the shock has been back 4 times...last time they gave me the S Tune and a few rides later it is leaking air again. Ive only ridden it twice on dirt such is the weak feeling of the boggy rear end. Anyone got any hacks to make this into a race bike like it is advertised as?

What sort of shock will fit though? It is proprietary.

I'd contact a suspension company then and ask them. What makes it so unusual that it cannot be swapped ? Even things like say the Scotts and Bionicons CAN be swapped, sure, you'd lose a certain level of functionality, but it's a shock, it's only different because of the gubbins attached to it. It's bore and stroke, that's it.

edit:
Looking, that seems integrated into the frame/mounts... So yeah i see your issue... Sorry.

For a minute there I thought that bike cost $12,500.

Oh no, wait... 😬

Think I'd be having a pretty stern conversation with the man from Specialized.

So you've had the shock back 4 times in a year because it's losing air . Have they replaced it each time because if so that would be very unusual . The current brain shocks seem pretty reliable and the only problem that I have seen is that the brain gets faulty and you have an inch of squelchy free movement before the shock firms up . Are you sure that you have been setting it up correctly as there is a bit more going on with these shocks than with a more regular one as you have to get the air pressure , rebound and the amount of brain right . Having said that if you have genuinely had the issues that you have within a year of ownership I would do what Georgesdad recommends and have a serious word with the man from Spesh .

You'd probably get more views if you strategically placed an attractive laydee in tight clothing in the preview.

Oh, wait, you already did - as you were.

Certainly isn't. Turn your volume down to avoid ridiculous faux gangsta swearing.

I was so hoping this involved the hottie at the start of the vid. Is disappointed...
