So, any ideas on this:
My left shoe squeaks on the pedal, only the left one, regardless of shoes or pedals 🤔 also after a few hours it tends to go a bit numb on the arch 🤔
Shoes are Specialized Sport MTB & Shimano XC7, pedals are Shimano PD-M520 & 540's.
It doesn't matter what combination I use, it squeaks, the Specialized shoes are much worse though.
WD-40 stops it for a bit, but not for a whole ride.
Any ideas❓
Interesting. My left foot squeaks when wet (Specialized MTB shoes, M520 pedals), but not my right, and I've been messing around for a couple of months trying to work out why.
What I've got to is it must be something to do with the cleat/ pedal interface, possibly with the rubber of the 'studs' on the soles too. The cleat itself appears to be in roughly the same position on the left shoe as the right, and the pedals are pretty much mirror images of each other.
Sooo... I think it must be that my left foot is at a different angle from my right when pedalling. My left heel is perhaps further out (or in) by default than my right, and so the cleat is rubbing on the pedal in a way that it isn't on the right. I guess it could be that the pronation is different, instead - ie one foot pedals flat but the other is slightly arch-up on the pedal, or something.
I don't have a solution, mind.
