Last bike I'll be purchasing as I have duff joints...

So was hope I could ask advice from fellow enthusiasts...

I've rode an Orange 5 pro for 5ish years mix of local Xc and trails.

Been looking at bikes and the world is far more complex than when I last shopped for a bike! So far I've narrowed down to;

Another 5
Stumpjumper fsr expert (last years)
Jeffsy cf pro

From what I've read these are good all rounders, my budget is about £3k. I'd welcome any guidance on those bikes and others I should consider.

Many thanks in advance

As we all know the Five is a bit 'Marmite'. My son has one and loves it - I don't enjoy riding it.

You have one so you'll know.

Jeffsy has top, top spec for the money.

And the Stumpy - well it's hardly gonna let you down is it?

Bird Aeris 145? Only hear good things about them

I have a Jeffsy.

I can only tell you I really, really like it.

I know everyone recommends the bike they own but I really didn't expect to like the thing as much as I do!

I bought my CF as a frame and fork (second hand) but built it up fairly similar to factory spec.

Bought it "blind" as it where and it's my first 29 29er did it could have gone horribly wrong but I really love riding it.

Good luck, whatever you choose. More again sane people than me would obviously recommend trying any bike before you buy. They have a point. 🙂

Try a few, then buy the one that you don't want to take back. Worked for me.

Wouldnt spend 200 quid on boots without trying on. Let alone 3k on my bike.

If you want it for local xc and trails, and like your 5, maybe think about a Four. The Orange website has a list of dealers and their demo bikes.
