was riding with a group last night.my brakes squeal intermittantly.nobody elses do.when it rained then everyones squealed inc mine.
there avid elixir with the pads they came with.

Do you spray your bike with gt85 wd40 or similar after you wash it?
Mine do when it's very wet,Avid,Magura & shimano's.I never rarely my bikes
I get it if the brakes are cold and wet. decent downhill and the squeal goes.
i put nothing on after washing (the bike!) but i am quite keen on washing the bike and it gets done after each use.perhaps the pads are staying damp? the rotors are not correded as is no other parts of the bike.
is it common on avid?
Juicies are rotten for it, dunno about Elixirs though.
