i`ve 2 bikes - riding one hurts my wrists and one doesnt.
bars and stem on one are 50mm and 760 wide 7x5 rise/sweep
bars and stem on the other are 60 and 760 9x6 rise/sweep.
the first makes the inside of my wrists hurt?
in terms of bikes one is FS one is a ht. both running 130mm marz forks of a similar vintage and type.
in terms of bike position i think sat down the positions are similar but the
bikes are very different so its hard to tell. i think maybe the bars on the fs are higher
I`ll try swapping hte bars to differnt bikes to see what happens but any other ideas (apart from buy more bars!)
cheers,
mark
Which one makes your wrists hurt?
angle of the brakes? lower the brake lever the more the pain.
shallower sweep hurts my wrists. when riding i always ride on teh edge of the bars and the shallower sweep it feels like the outside of my wrist is rotated outwards more. could it be i`ve rolled em back too far? the other bars are fairly well rolled back too though...
brakes fairly flat but i`ll check.
Grips? Brakes as Jamie says is another key factor, as is bar sweep/shape IME.
