A good bike that is slightly compromised isn't..
Examples.. A winter bike with heavy kit is fine, but stick heavy wheels on my best road bike and it just feels that you are selling yourself short..
Or I'd happily ride a cheap hardtail without a dropper, but if the one on my big bike broke I'd leave it at home and choose something else to ride
Maybe it's just me!
